Charger Norlin MkIII news letter Spring 2012

The 2012 season is at its start with a Open World Championships in Italy and the Paralympics in London as the two main events of the year.

New for 2012 is the Charger Norlin MkIII Clubster.

The Clubster is a extra solid and slightly simplified version of the Norlin MkIII racer that we are building. With the Clubster we aim for Sailing clubs and rental organizations.

Because of a stronger and heavier lay up the Clubster will be extremely durable and an occasional bumping into the dock will be no problem.

She will be sold as a ready to sail package (boat, mast/boom package, sails, cradle, hand steering and boat cover) at a very attractive price.

The Clubster is slightly heavier then the Racer and will have a little less ballast but will still measure as a 2.4mR and as a Norlin MkIII OD.

A great 2.4 to get started in and fall in love with sailing these great boats.

We have also changed our standard spray deflector to a wider version that will keep you a bit dryer and does not get the jib sheet caught anymore.

For the rest we of course keep building the high quality and finish that we have been used to from Charger

Charger Composites signs 2.4NorlinOD licenced builder agreement.

Tuesday the 6th of March 2012 is a historical day for the 2.4 class. Evert Aartsen signed the first 2.4NorlinOD licensed builders agreement with the 2.4 OD division and Charger Composites is now the first official OD builder in the class. The contract was reviewed and signed By Evert and Pekka Seitola in Peter Norlin’s house in Stockholm with The designer Peter Norlin present. We are very exited to that tho OD class is finally a fact.

Charger Composites official 2.4 One Design builder!

It is now officially a fact; Charger Composites is the Worlds first official 2.4 One Designed licensed builder. This is a historical moment in the History of the 2.4 class. We will build 10 limited edition OD celebration boats. these boats will have an extra stripe gel coated in the hull with the OD logo integrated and a stripe in the deck. All 10 limited edition boats will come with a free boat cover, a free splash cover, the name of the owner stated on the in laminated serial number label, a certificate to hang on the wall and a goody bag with surprises. these 10 boats will all be Cream white with dark blue details. they will be sold on first come first serve base. We are looking forward to serve the OD class as well as the open class and look forward to cooperate with the class organization in order to make the 2.4 OD class fly.
